Transportation

Downtown and Denver Union Station is the hub of the area's transportation systems. RTD manages the system and has hundreds of bus and rail trips per hour during peak hours at the Market Street and Civic Center stations.

Denver boasts a growing light rail system which has over 14 miles of track, and another 19 miles opening in November of 2006 that will connect the Tech Center and downtown. In November 2004, Denver-area voters overwhelmingly approved FASTRACKS - a sweeping program of 119 more miles of transit and busway improvements. This will provide you with access to every major community, DIA, Boulder and downtown Denver using the RTD train system.

Denver is also one of the most "bike friendly" cities in the country with hundreds of miles of trails and a climate that was made for walking and biking. With so many options, and the chance to live near downtown, before you know it you’ll…

walk your way to a better life.
